Maria Cornelio

Maria Cornelio is Director of the Hispanic Resource Center at Columbia University Medical Center, where she directs recruitment and language‑support programs
for Spanish‑speaking patients in clinical trials. She is the Spanish-language consultant to the Institutional Review Board of the New York State Psychiatric Institute. She teaches Healthcare Translation at New York University and Medical Translation at the University of Chicago. She holds a Masters Degree in International Studies. She studied at the University of Seville, Spain, at the University of Poitiers, France, and has a Bachelors Degree in Spanish and French from Hunter College, City University of New York.

Maria Cornelio was born in the Dominican Republic.
