Leticia Molinero has been a
full-time freelance translator since 1976. Born in Argentina, where she
graduated with an M.A. in Philosophy, Ms. Molinero subsequently moved
to the United States and worked as a Financial Research Analyst in New
York, where she studied Financial Analysis at New York University.
She has been involved in many
areas of financial and legal translation for some major banks and
financial institutions, such as Deutsche Bank, Merrill Lynch, The First
National Bank of Chicago, Charles Schwab, Credit Suisse, The Bank of
New York, Chase Manhattan Bank, International Debt Management, and a
host of others.
Ms. Molinero has also
extensive experience in the areas of health care, pharmacology,
software, hardware, telecommunications, as well as other areas
summarized in her resume. She has passed Financial Translation Tests
for ISO 9002 Certification.
Leticia Molinero has been the
Editor of Apuntes since 1995, and the President of SpanSIG since June,
2000. On 2002 SpanSIG became InTradES-Apuntes, Inc. and she is
currently president of this new organization. She is also member
of the Translations Committee of the Academia Norteamericana de
la Lengua Española (ANLA). As of July, 2002 she is a Correspondent
Member of ANLA.
